Green Goddess Dressing with Sour Cream & Honey

This creamy dressing combines fresh garden ingredients with simple whole foods like avocados and sour cream for a perfect summer salad topper or dip.

  • 1 clove fresh garlic
  • 1 shallot medium
  • 4 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • ½ ripe avocado
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1/8 cup honey local raw honey is best!
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp lime juice about the juice of 1/2 lime
  • ½ tsp salt
  • tsp fresh ground pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp olive oil extra virgin


  • Place the garlic, shallot, and herbs in a blender and chop into very small pieces until well combined.

  • Add the avocado, sour cream, honey, apple cider vinegar, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Blend on medium speed until smooth.

  • With the blender still running, add the extra virgin olive oil and continue blending until well emulsified. You should not see the ingredients separating.
  • Transfer to a salad dressing container or lidded jar and enjoy! This dressing will keep up to one week in the refrigerator.
