The Happy Hive produces high quality, small batch natural beeswax products for your home using only the highest quality ingredients. Our products are blended and hand poured right here on our Vermont homestead. Whenever possible, we make them with our own beeswax. What we can’t supply ourselves, we source from other reputable producers.

Our home products offer a natural alternative to mainstream options produced with chemicals, petroleum products, and artificial scents. They are healthier for your family, and offer a natural, soothing aroma.

Our beeswax furniture and wood polish can be used as a first coat on new woodworking projects or as a regular treatment for wood furniture or cutting boards. It combines high quality beeswax with organic fractionated coconut oil, providing both a deep moisturizing shine and a layer of protection. Available in two sizes:

8oz Beeswax Furniture Polish is great for bigger woodworking projects or for having a long-term supply;

4oz Beeswax Furniture Polish is great for smaller projects or for regular furniture/table polishing at home.

Ingredients: Organic Fractionated Coconut Oil & All-Natural Beeswax

Directions: Apply liberally to clean wood using a clean cloth. Allow to absorb for 15 minutes. Buff with a clean cloth.

Our Cutting Board Conditioner is similar to our furniture polish but packaged in smaller quantities. The 2 oz tin container is perfect to keep on hand in your kitchen.

Apply regularly to cutting boards, wooden spoons, knife handles, or small wooden bowls. Regular conditioning helps these items to retain moisture and avoid cracking. You’ll be amazed at how knife lines disappear after applying polish to your cutting boards!

Ingredients: Organic Fractionated Coconut Oil & All-Natural Beeswax

Directions: Apply liberally to clean cutting boards using a clean cloth. Allow to absorb for 15 minutes. Buff out any remaining conditioner with a clean cloth. Cutting boards should be treated regularly to ensure they do not dry out.

Our Leather Conditioner and Polish restores leather shoes and bags and protects them from the elements. We combine four natural ingredients that each serve an important function:

Sweet Almond Oil adds moisture back into dried out leather;

Shea Butter conditions the leather (natural leather produces oils to protect its outer layer; over time this natural oil is lost and needs to be replaced);

Fractionated Coconut Oil (adds shine to your leather products);

Beeswax add a protective outer layer to protect against the elements (rain, show, mud, etc.)

Directions: Clean leather first, then apply leather conditioner with a clean cloth. Rub in circles to ensure conditioner reaches all surfaces, incuding stitched sections. Allow to absorb for 15 minutes, then buff with a clean cloth.

Our beeswax wax melts are made with 100% pure beeswax from our own hives.  Simply place the wax melts on the top of a tea light wax melter and enjoy the natural scent of beeswax as it gently melts over low heat.

Available in a festive snowflake shape that turns the cold of winter into something cozy for your home.

Wax melts come in an organza bag, making them a lovely gift for any occasion!

Ingredients: 100% Pure Beeswax

Our beeswax thread conditioner is the tool every sewer needs in their sewing bag.  Thread conditioner puts a protective layer on the thread that guards against soil, moisture, mold, and mildew. Using a thread conditioner also helps release static electricity in the thread, which is a common cause of tangling.

Simply run the thread between your finger and this wax conditioner for a smooth protective finish.

Our heart-shaped beeswax thread conditioners are packaged in an organza gift bag.  Each heart is just under 1-inch.

Ingredients: 100% Pure Beeswax

Our cast iron seasoning bar makes it easy for you to rub a light coating of beneficial oils and wax on to your cast iron pans. Simply rub on a very thin layer, bake the pan at 425 degrees for 60 minutes, then let the pan cool in your oven. The result is a beautiful seasoning layer that protects your pan from rust and creates a nice stick-free surface.

All-natural grapeseed oil has a high smoke point and low saturated fats and has been shown to be one of the best oils for seasoning cast iron.

All-natural safflower oil is also low in saturated fats and absorbs well into cast iron.

All-natural beeswax helps create a semi-solid bar for ease of application and adds a protective layer to our seasoning for even better rust protection.

Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Clean cast iron with water and scrub brush to remove any food or debris. Apply seasoning by rubbing the bar over all surface (rub into corners or handles with fingers or a clean cloth). Seasoning should be consistently applied without excess. Place in hot oven for 30-60 minutes, checking half-way to ensure even coverage. Turn off the oven and allow the pan to cool inside. Cast iron pans should be treated a few times a year to ensure even patina.

The Natural Difference

here's what our customers say

This conditioner was shipped and arrived super fast! I looked for tons of cutting board conditioners, and this is one of the very few which DO NOT have mineral oil (which is a petroleum derivative). I am very particular about buying all natural products. Thanks for making this amazing conditioner. It worked very well on two of my cutting boards..

I'd never used a product like this, so I was a little apprehensive about using it on bare wood. What I didn't want was a plastic looking finish, but something allowing the natural wood to show through while still giving some protection. This polish was perfect. It has a very soft finish, both visually and to the touch. It went on smoothly and buffed up to a beautiful satin finish. Very pleased, and will recommend it.

So far this polish is great! I did a set of chairs and they looked much better after the polish and smelled good, and I didn't have to worry about getting it on my hands.
